Free Summer Computing Workshops Information
We are organising these free workshops for 5th, 6th and transition year students to give them an understanding of some of the areas that we cover in Computing Science, while also looking at some of the key areas of interest in the industry at the moment. Our senior lecturers will be on hand to guide and help students develop games and mobile applications as well as introducing them to the fundamentals of Computing Science. Students will have the opportunity to mix with fellow students, view the campus facilities and gain an insight into the Griffith experience.
The workshops will be held on the 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th of June 2014 from 10.00am to 3.00pm at Griffith College, South Circular Road, Dublin 8.
WORKSHOPS ARE NOW FULLY BOOKED.
The 23rd and 24th of June will be dedicated to Mobile Application Development. Both workshops will be identical meaning students only need to register for one of the two days *NOW CLOSED* The 25th 26th and 27th of June will be dedicated to Games Development, and once again both workshops over the two days will be identical meaning students only need to register for one of the two days. There is no charge and each workshop has limited availability. In each session, students will be introduced to the basic skills required to create their own products to a professional standard. They will be instructed in the use of development tools as well as being introduced to the core elements of Computing Science.
