Biography

Gary Somers has over 20 years of industry experience working on an array of award winning projects, he assisted John McDonnell Managing director of McDonnell Design as lead designer working on mainly Bar, Restaurant and Nightclub design.  Gary also lectured at Level 5 and Level 6 in Limavady College for two years in the Design Programmes. He went on to join Anthony Reddy Associates Dublin and worked under Director Brian O’Neill as a Designer and Architectural Technician on a vast range of multi million euro projects in both a shell and core and Interior fitout capacity. These projects ranged from master planning, schools, nursing homes, residential, office fitouts and headquarter buildings. In 2006 Gary joined the team in Griffith College Dublin and has since taught several modules, Architectural Drawing, Building Science and Technology, Ergonomics and Anthropometrics, Lighting Design, Computer Studies and Material Science. He also works as a design consultant in both an Architectural and Graphic capacity. His clients often describe him as having a super sense of colour, style and outstanding material selections. He truly listens to what the customer wants and strives to provide an innovative design service with passion and creative flair which always aims to exceed all expectations.
