Oonagh Montague Development ActivitiesAcademic Qualifications: MA in Arts Policy & Practice (1st Class Hon) (NUIG), BA in English & French (Joint 1st Class Hon), Graduate of the DCU Academy Social Enterprise Programme (Distinction) BiographyOonagh is an Associate Lecturer in Journalism & Media Communications at Griffith College Cork. Her areas of interest are understanding audiences and media marketing, writing for arts and culture and writing and presentation skills. Previously, Oonagh worked as a features writer for the Irish Independent newspaper and magazine and was Editor of Arts Ireland, a monthly Irish Arts and Culture newsletter produced for the US. Oonagh also worked as a marketing manager in the Arts & Tourism sectors - with companies such as Corcadorca Theatre Company, Galway City & County Arts Offices, the Eoin Turner International Studios and South & East Cork Area Development (SECAD). Oonagh's favourite part of lecturing is the chance to listen to and encourage her students. She feels that it's a rare privilege to be a part of a faculty which advocates original thought and encourages active curiosity. She sees this generation as the policy makers and history tellers of tomorrow – the key to shaping our world into a better place. For Oonagh, there's no better feeling than watching a student take on the world.
