Paddy O Shea


Paddy O'Shea is a writer and director who has worked on films from New York to Luxembourg, Denmark to the UK and all over Ireland. His debut feature documentary, 'Why is there anything instead of nothing' (2017), portrays the life and work of Irish/American artist Tighe O'Donoghue/Ross, and was recently featured in Variety magazine due to an international distribution deal. His short film ‘Penny’ won the Prize for ‘Best Drama’ at the Fastnet Short Film Festival in 2009 and screened on RTÉ as part of its Short Screen series. He shoots and directs the Fastnet Film Festival Greenroom Interviews. Past interviewees include Steve Coogan, Stephen Frears, Joan Bergin, and Lenny Abrahamson. He lectures TV and Video to final year journalism students in Griffith College Cork
