Biography

With a passionate interest in inclusive teaching and learning, Orla has extensive experience working in the higher education sector. She has lectured on a number of programmes across Griffith College with a special focus on sociological modules. She has also lectured on community-based higher education programmes for DIT and Carlow IT. An advocate of Universal Design for Learning, Orla also manages the learning support unit in Griffith College, providing academic support to learners with disabilities and diverse learning needs. Orla contributes to the professional practice and learning design modules and is the module lead on the equality, diversity and inclusion module on the MA. She is also a dissertation supervisor on the programme.
