Addiction Courses - ICHAS

Addiction-related courses are designed to provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of addiction, its causes, effects, treatment approaches, prevention, and recovery strategies. These courses provide a broad insight into the field of addiction studies, including an overview of different types of addictions, their impact on individuals and society, and an introduction to the theoretical frameworks used to understand addiction.

All our Addiction courses are offered by ICHAS at Griffith College. ICHAS are at the forefront of the education and training of counsellors in Ireland. Our programmes use both classroom-based and blended learning techniques. This allows the learner to access classes in person or online to support a better work/life/study balance. In certain modules, attendance may be a requirement.

Students will gain practical experience which they can later apply to their personal and professional lives. Further, graduates will be well prepared to reach new levels of success in their careers. Undertaking one of these programmes will support learners to achieve the competencies, knowledge and skills necessary to understand individual, organisational, social and cultural influences of addiction in a range of settings.
