Law Students to Compete in Jean Pictet Competition 2019

Law students at Griffith College

Griffith College Dublin wishes to congratulate law students Amy Lee (3rd year LL.B.), Rukshana Lambino (3rd year LL.B.), Cora McGovern (LL.M.) and Conor Walsh (LL.M.) on being selected by the Steering Committee of the Jean Pictet Competition 2019 as participants in its upcoming edition. They will represent Griffith College in the prestigious competition next year.

The Jean Pictet Competition is the world championship of international humanitarian law competitions. Its selection process is very rigorous and highly competitive; in recent editions, only about one-half of applying teams have been selected. For this reason, teams have to compile a high quality file, consisting of mini-assignments.

Their coach and lecturer Dr. Ananthavinayagan said: "This is a great opportunity and fantastic intellectual achievement for the students.  It shows their dedication and commitment. Moreover, it is the first time students from Griffith College Dublin are competing in this prestigious competition. I am looking forward to the upcoming months of training, before they head to France next year. I am sure they will apply their knowledge in an excellent manner, but also gain unique experience and represent the College well."

We wish all four students the very best of luck!
