Biography

Conal Rae has taught music in the Leinster School of Music and Drama for over fifteen years, specialising in classical guitar, piano and music theory, though his teaching career began while he was still a student. A member of the Teaching Council  of Ireland, his keen interest in music education led to his contribution to the creation of the piano and guitar exam syllabuses for GCD while examining both across the country. Though he began his musical development as an electric guitarist, it diversified into more traditional classical instruments and has now diversified to include traditional Irish banjo and Flamenco, having studied toque with Leslie Cassidy.
