Self-Evaluation, Monitoring and Review
Self-Evaluation, Monitoring and Review
The College’s processes for quality assurance planning, monitoring and reporting are outlined in the QAE Manual: Section K: Self-Evaluation, Monitoring and Review. These policies and procedures support quality assurance and enhancement (QAE) monitoring and reporting at programme level, faculty/departmental level, and College level.
All College-wide academic and professional processes are subject to QAE annual review. Such reviews are planned for, and provide an opportunity for the College to reflect on the effectiveness of processes and mechanisms to assure and enhance the quality of academic and service provision. Review outcomes and reports generate evidence for the wider College on the operation of this provision.
CINNTE Institutional Review documents (QQI)
Griffith College recently undertook an Institutional Review as part of the Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) CINNTE cyclical review for Independent and Private Providers.

• Institutional Self-Evaluation Report 2024 (PDF file)
• The College hosted the CINNTE Review Team (PDF file) in October 2024.
• The panel’s resulting Institutional Review Report 2025 (PDF file) was published by QQI in May 2025.
• The Implementation Plan (PDF file), addressing the recommendations made in the report, was submitted to QQI in August 2025.
Institutional Re-engagement 2019 (QQI)
Institutional Re-engagement for each legacy provider (of HETAC, QQI’s predecessor) was a one-off process to establish:
(i) Quality assurance procedures approved by QQI in accordance with Section 30 of the Qualifications and Quality Assurance (Education and Training) Act 2012, and
(ii) The provider’s scope of provision i.e. the range of programmes for which quality assurance procedures and organisational capacity are deemed appropriate and within which future programme applications for validation can be made. Following the review, this report was issued by QQI.
• Re-engagement with QQI (Assessment of Capacity and Approval of QA Procedures), 2019
Annual academic and professional QAE reviews support the College’s completion of the Annual Quality Report (AQR) which is submitted to QQI in February of the subsequent year. The AQR provides documentary evidence of the College’s strategic QAE development and application, and demonstrates that the College’s internal QAE procedures are well-established and are being implemented consistently with regulatory requirements.
Since the introduction of the option for independent providers to submit an AQR, the College has submitted the following reports:
• AQR 2026 [reporting period 2024-2025]
• AQR 2025 [reporting period 2023-2024]
• AQR 2024 [reporting period 2022-2023]
• AQR 2023 [reporting period 2021-2022]
• AQR 2022 [reporting period 2020-2021]
• AQR 2021 [reporting period 2019-2020]
Griffith College Programme Validation and Revalidation Reports are available on the QQI website.
The TrustEd Ireland mark is awarded to providers who have demonstrated their commitment to delivering a quality and consistent learning experience for international students. TrustEd Ireland providers have successfully met the rigorous national standards set by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI). These standards ensure that international learners are supported from pre-enrolment through to completion of their programme, with protections in place for transparency, learner welfare and academic quality.
As of 26 January 2026, Griffith College is authorised by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) to use the TrustEd Ireland mark (Higher Education Pathway) following publication of the following:
