Academic and Professional Background
She is a postdoctoral researcher with the Obesity Research and Care Group at RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences. Her research activities include the Healthy Hydration for Dublin Project and the evaluation of an online childhood obesity education to assess its impact on health professionals. Her current research builds on her PhD, completed at the School of Psychology at Trinity College Dublin, where a high level of community engagement was achieved to evaluate adolescent health behaviour change and assess their health outcomes. Her research focused on prioritising adolescence, as it is a critical time for developing healthy behaviours and on challenging health risks through a peer-led approach to support health behaviour change. She has contributed to both national and international forums, providing high-quality scientific research that enhances future health outcomes and promotes health equity among socially disadvantaged groups.
