Professional Summary

Nathan is the Programme Director of the Legal Studies & Practice Programmes and Lecturer at the Faculty of Law. He is responsible for administering the Diploma and Certificate programmes. He also lectures on those programmes and fulfils other ad hoc lecturing responsibilities within the College. 

Academic and Professional Background

Nathan is a practicing barrister specialising in criminal law, immigration & asylum, extradition and judicial review. Nathan previously worked as a Judicial Assistant within the Courts Service and has held research positions in a number of legal institutions. He holds an LL.B. (Pol Sci), LL.M., BL and Advanced Diplomas.

Teaching, Research, or Leadership Focus

Nathan has previously lectured in Criminal Law, Introduction to the Irish Legal System and Contract Law on the Legal Studies & Practice Programmes. His primary research interests are in the area of Criminal Law, Criminology, Human Rights and Immigration/Asylum Law.
