Biography

Nichola Kinch is a practiced, professional designer who has over 20 years’ experience in the fashion, and design education industries. A graduate of both LSAD and NCAD she started out as a jeanswear designer, designing for international companies such as John Rocha Jeans, Diesel, Paul Smith and high street brands such as Next and Debenhams. She then moved into Fashion Buying and travelled the world working closely with design companies in Europe and Asia. She has also designed menswear and childrenswear and has experience in merchandising, styling and fashion forecasting. In the last decade she has turned her attention to third level teaching, curriculum design and course development. She currently teaches Fashion Design as well as Fashion Business in Griffith College. In her spare time she acts as a Design Consultant to various members of the craft industry (jewellery and ceramics) in Ireland and the UK.
