Biography

Ruairí Murphy is a lecturer in the faculty of Computing Science, specialising in the areas of web design, web programming, visual communication and creative coding. Ruairi studied Communications and Creative Multimedia  in Dundalk Institute of Technology and graduated with first class honours. He also graduated with a 2.1 in the MSc in Multimedia Systems from Trinity College Dublin. Recently he has completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning, with first class honours. Ruairí has been involved in both print and interactive design for over a decade, and regularly consults on various projects. His research interests include the effects of digital media on comprehension, teaching and learning and algorithmically generated art and design.
