Biography

Stephen undertook his LL.B. in Trinity College Dublin. He later completed a Ph.D. in EU Law, also at Trinity. From 2013 to 2016, he served as a judicial assistant in the Irish High Court, working largely on chancery and family law cases. He has been in practice at the Bar of Ireland since 2017. He currently lectures DLSP students in Constitutional Law and Judicial Review, LL.M Students in International and European Human Rights Law and LLB Students in Land Law. He previously taught at the University of Limerick and currently teaches at Trinity College Dublin.

He was formerly a member of the Editorial Board of the Irish Journal of European Law and a committee member of the Irish Society of European Law. He currently serves as Director of the Irish Centre for European Law.
