Biography

Stephen is the Programme Director for the LLB (Blended Learning) Degree Programme. He previously lectured and tutored in the Limerick campus of Griffith College and also tutored in the University of Limerick where he had completed his LLB and LLM (International Commercial Law). Stephen also has completed a Post-Graduate Diploma from the Law Society of Ireland in Sports Law and has recently completed a Professional Certificate in Data Protection (Policy and Procedure) through the Institute of Bankers in UCD. As a result of the latter, he is also a Certified Data Protection Officer with the Compliance Institute. He is currently undertaking an MA in Education, Learning and Development here in Griffith. Along with his current role, he acts as the Faculty Liaison Person to the Innocence Project as well as sitting on a number of other committees within the College. He aims to assist the college in any way he can.

Stephen intends to continue on and complete a PhD in one of his many areas of interest. Outside of academics, Stephen has come second twice in the A&L Goodbody Mooting Competition in UL and holds three Presidential Volunteering Awards from his time at the University of Limerick. A proud Kerry man at heart, he is also interested in politics, volunteering and sport.

In terms of his teaching style, he tries to make himself as available as possible and has no qualms with being asked to repeat a point or to give other examples. He looks forward to seeing what can be achieved in his time here.
