Biography

William is an educational technologist with experience in many areas including lecturing, software engineering, games & AR/VR development and music technology. Prior to Griffith College, William was an Assistant Lecturer at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) and Tutor at Maynooth University(MU) with a specialization in computer science and professional development modules which undertook a heavy delivery in blended and digital learning.

Whilst at DkIT and MU, William was involved with teaching strategies, course development, program management and incorporating alternative assessments and learning approaches. As part of course development, he pursued an international partnership with colleges under the Erasmus programme such as Lycee Des Arts Et Métiers in Luxembourg(LAM), both initiating the contact and bringing the partnership to a successful working conclusion.

With a mixed background in academics and the creative media industries, William has a primary focus on using digital tools, media, technology and gamification to provide help and facilitate support for learners both in person and online. More notable during remote working during the 2020 Pandemic, William wrote and developed a free resource enabling educators and any other sectors to readily use Zoom in adapting to the new working-from-home regime.
