Griffith College Announced As Full Project Partner In The EIT Higher Education Initiative Cohort 4

Griffith College is delighted to share that it will be a full project partner in the EIT Higher Education Initiative Cohort 4. This two-year project will connect the institution with partners across Europe, in Finland, Germany, Netherlands and Turkey, building a deep connection with industry partners who are also full partners in the project for venture science capacity building and start-up innovation.
GreenTech4Transformation (GT4T) is a transformative initiative designed to empower Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) as leaders in sustainable innovation, entrepreneurship, and societal impact. Through focusing on key sectors such as the circular economy, digital transformation, and energy transition, GT4T integrates advanced research, deep-tech applications, and entrepreneurial training to tackle some of the most pressing challenges of our time. The project adopts a structured, interdisciplinary approach that connects HEI researchers, student innovators, and start-up ecosystems, aligning its outputs with Europe’s vision for a green and digital future. This project is thanks to the network of partners through the college’s European University Alliance, called DIVERSE.
The GT4T project is led by Satakunta University of Applied Sciences in Finland and highlights inclusivity by designing tailored programs for emerging professionals (ages 17–25) and experienced professionals (ages 55+), ensuring diverse perspectives and equitable participation in the innovation process.
This marks the second time Griffith College has received funding from the EIT Higher Education Initiative. During this EU-funded project, Griffith College will develop its active partnership with Furthr through a strategic EU-funded partnership to enhance Green Tech entrepreneurship in Ireland and beyond. This area of investment and focus is outlined in Ireland's National Development Plan and the EU Green and Digital Transition goals.
We are excited to see what comes next and look forward to this collaboration with our partners and the EIT Higher Education Initiative.
