Get Started with DSLR Photography: A Two-Day Introduction to Mastering Your Camera

This beginner's 2-day course covers the fundamentals of DSLR (Digital single-lens reflex) photography, focusing on understanding manual settings, achieving high-quality results, and learning basic camera mechanics and exposure principles. Discover how to effectively capture various scenes and optimise your photographs for both social media and print.  Gain confidence in using your DSLR camera effectively, understanding key photography concepts, and producing better-quality images. This foundation sets you up to continue exploring and improving your photography skills independently.

 

The course is validated by Griffith College. This course focuses on the development of professional skills and does not sit on the national framework.

How to Apply

Entry Requirements

Over 18 Years
Direct entry

English Language 
It is recommended that applicants have a good understanding of both written and spoken English. Non-native English speakers are not required to submit a copy of IELTs test results or take an English-level test as part of the application process.

Photography Equipment
Learners are required to provide the following:

  • DSLR Camera
  • Formatted Memory Card
  • Notepad and Pen
  • Tripod useful but not essential
