The combination of modules will provide learners with the opportunity to develop their understanding of the role of accounting within an organisation whilst fostering an appreciation of the financial reporting process and the analysis of financial statements. It outlines the vital role of providing the various stakeholders with quantitative financial information which can be used in making business and investment decisions. The learners also gain practical skills in accounting software and develop their analytical skills. Software applications are the basic tools in accountancy and finance today across all industries.
Learners who complete this programme are awarded a Certificate in Introductory Accounting and Technology from Griffith College. They also receive a transcript of results detailing their attainment in the component modules on the related QQI validated programmes.As a bespoke certificate, with modules drawn from separate programmes, the Certificate does not lead to a separate award on the National Framework of Qualifications.
