Student Counsellor Support

What can the counselling team support with?

With a network of over 70 therapists, the team is fully trained and equipped to deal with a wide range of issues learners and residents  may face, including:

  • Mental health concerns (anxiety, stress, depression, etc)
  • Isolation/loneliness
  • Financial worries
  • Legal worries
  • Housing worries
  • Circumstances of navigating rape, sexual assault, violence, etc
  • Relationships
  • Intercultural adjustments

Learners at our Cork and Limerick campuses can access counselling remotely via a phone call/video call. Learners at our Dublin campus can all access counselling remotely via a phone call/video call or in person. The service is free of charge for learners to access.

How can learners access counselling?

When you'd like to talk to someone within one hour, text the word "urgent" to 0868985666 to arrange a session. This service is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 7 PM, and Saturday through Sunday, 10 AM to 10 PM.

In an emergency, always call 999 or 112.

Waiting Times:

Learners will not have to wait more than a few days for an appointment, while emergencies will be given a consultation within 24 hours.
