Safe & Secure

Griffith College Halls of Residence (GHR) offers students a safe, secure and private living space on a beautiful 7 acre setting in the heart of Dublin city. Built in 2004, this purpose built environment offers a comfortable and convenient accommodation option, particularly suited to those living a distance from the capital.

An all inclusive cost means that there are no hidden extras for residents of GHR. It is our policy to have a transparent tariff system, thus allowing residents to adequately equip themselves financially for the academic year. GHR is also extremely competitively priced for the Dublin rental market.

GHR is an extremely safe place to live. Electronic locks on external doors, apartment doors and room doors provide greater security to residents and their belongings. Manned security is on campus 24 hours a day with patrols taking place throughout the day. At night time to enhance security a biometric lock system is in place which only residents have access to.

GHR is within 15 minutes walking distance of Dublin’s city centre and is close to the Luas Red & Green lines. Numerous Dublin bus routes connect GHR to the city. GHR is also within walking distance to many other educational facilities such as TCD, DIT, NCAD, RCSI, DBS, Portobello & Independent Colleges.

Due to the nature of being located directly on campus, GHR has all the facilities that any renting student requires including; Laundry, Fitness Room, Library Access, Free Parking (allocated on a first come first served basis), Bike Storage, Campus Shop, Bar & Restaurant, Green Area, Students Union Building and Internet Access.

The GHR Office is open throughout the week providing students with light bulbs, vacuum bags etc. The Office also facilitates students who have misplaced their key fobs and all maintenance related issues are also handled via the GHR Office.

Student Population & Activities

GHR has a unique student body with residents from a range of other educational institutions and countries. Non Griffith students who are resident on campus are equally welcome to avail of all of the College facilities and take part in the very active Griffith Students’ Union clubs and societies yearly calendar of events.

Your GHR

GHR compares favourably with external rental options in a number of ways including additional security and privacy, the convenience of an on site GHR Office, convenient and straightforward application and leasing paperwork. Giving you the opportunity to live with all of your friends in comfort! But don’t take our word for it – come and view our Show Apartment on campus.

28 August, 2019

GHR will make 80 bed spaces available to students attending third level institutions in Dublin.

From the moment I arrived in Ireland the accommodation team welcomed me and made me feel right at home. GHR is just 10 minutes walking from the city centre and serviced by Dublin Bus so it was very convenient to go anywhere. So the location could not be better!”

I really enjoyed my stay. There are a lot of advantages for incoming students to stay as you don’t have to look for an apartment, you´re very close to college and you have everything you need very near only 15 minute walk to the city centre. Have a great time at GHR!”

I like living in GHR simply because it is a safe, peaceful, comfortable place to come home to where the staff are very helpful and pleasant to everyone. It is near the city centre and in a part of Dublin which is well connected by bus routes and LUAS lines.
