Safe & Secure

Griffith College Halls of Residence (GHR) offers students a safe, secure and private living space on a beautiful 7-acre setting in the heart of Dublin city. Built in 2004, this purpose built environment offers a comfortable and convenient accommodation option, particularly suited to those living a distance from the capital.

The campus is patrolled regularly by our 24/7 security team, who are at the service of any GHR resident who needs their assistance at any time.

GHR is also extremely competitively priced for the Dublin rental market. All bills – water, electricity, heating and WiFi – are included in our price subject to a fair usage policy.

GHR is within 15 minutes walking distance of Dublin’s city centre and is close to the Luas Red & Green lines. Numerous Dublin bus routes connect GHR to the city including the 122, 9 and 16. GHR is also within walking distance to many other educational facilities such as TCD, DIT, NCAD, RCSI, DBS, Portobello & Independent Colleges.

As we’re located on the Griffith College campus, GHR has all the facilities that any renting student requires including:

  • Laundry
  • Fitness room
  • Library
  • Free parking
  • Bike storage
  • Restaurant
  • Green area
  • Students’ Union Building

GHR operate a 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday Accommodation Office service and are served by a dedicated on-site maintenance team. Residents are invited to visit the Accommodation Office to discuss any residential matters with our friendly team.

We also provide spare vacuum bags and light bulbs to residents when required.

Student Population & Activities

GHR has a unique student body with residents from a range of other educational institutions and countries. Non-Griffith students who are resident on campus are equally welcome to avail of all of the College facilities and take part in the very active Griffith Students’ Union clubs and societies yearly calendar of events.

Your GHR

GHR compares favourably with external rental options in a number of ways including additional security and privacy, the convenience of an on-site Accommodation Office, convenient and straightforward application and leasing paperwork. We provide prospective residents the option to share with their friends, which although we cannot guarantee, we have a high success rate in facilitating.

From the moment I arrived in Ireland the accommodation team welcomed me and made me feel right at home. GHR is just 10 minutes walking from the city centre and serviced by Dublin Bus so it was very convenient to go anywhere. So the location could not be better!”

I really enjoyed my stay. There are a lot of advantages for incoming students to stay as you don’t have to look for an apartment, you´re very close to college and you have everything you need very near only 15 minute walk to the city centre. Have a great time at GHR!”

I like living in GHR simply because it is a safe, peaceful, comfortable place to come home to where the staff are very helpful and pleasant to everyone. It is near the city centre and in a part of Dublin which is well connected by bus routes and LUAS lines.
