2019/2020 Student Ambassador Programme

Education in Ireland's prestigious Student Ambassador Programme allows prospective students a fantastic opportunity to hear the real voice of international students in Ireland. The programme which is sponsored by Education in Ireland is a highly successful and unique initiative which is fast becoming the gold standard for such programmes internationally. The Ambassadors share their experiences about studying and living in Ireland through blogs and across various social media platform.

The Ambassadors will receive high-level training on how best to harness effective online communication skills. The Ambassadors will also receive a 'Certificate of Participation' from Education in Ireland at a high level National Award Ceremony. Education in Ireland will also be happy to endorse the Ambassadors on LinkedIn and other sites, offer references and work with them as alumni in the future. In addition, Ambassadors will get the opportunity to make new friends with other Student Ambassadors from all over the world.

Griffith College encourages international students to apply for this prestigious role. The International Office will carry out a selection process in order to find the best and suitable international students to represent Griffith College as the Student Ambassador. 

Who Should Apply

Students who are enthusiastic, creative, articulate and passionate about blogging and social media!

Applicants can be engaged at any level of study (undergraduate and postgraduate). 

Unfortunately, Study Abroad students will not be accepted this year. Former ambassadors are not eligible to apply. 

Ambassadors are expected to provide three blog posts throughout the academic year and to interact with other ambassadors on the blog and on through the Programme's social networks as well as with prospective students. Ambassadors will be encouraged to be creative in their work and video and imagery will be a vital part of the programme this year. Quality submissions will be published on the Education in Ireland blog, the Education in Ireland website, Griffith College's website and distributed widely through various social media channels.

Education in Ireland will provide full training as well as technical and editorial support throughout the year. The selected ambassadors must attend the training day which will be held on Saturday, 16th November 2019 (time and location to be confirmed).

The successful candidate will be notified by Monday, 14th October 2019.
