Guest Lecture from the Irish Times' Cillian Mc Donnell

Griffith College’s Faculty of Journalism & Media Communications is pleased to announce an upcoming guest lecture from the Irish Times’ Cillian Mc Donnell. As production coordinator for Content Studio, the Irish Times’ native advertising department, Mc Donnell is responsible for delivering brand content campaigns that engage audiences across a number of print, digital and experiential platforms and offerings. Ex-editor of Ireland.com and Totallydublin.ie, Cillian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCD and a MSc in Creative Digital Media from DIT, with a specialisation in UX writing and mobile content design.

The talk will touch on a number of topics of vital importance to any students looking towards a career in journalism, including how native advertising works, its benefits, the anatomy of a native advertising campaign and how to measure its success.
