Griffith College Campus Masterplan Granted 10 Year Planning Permission

Dublin City Council has formally granted the College ten-year planning permission for our proposed campus developments. This is a significant milestone and gives the College the flexibility and certainty to develop the campus for the future.

The permission provides for:

  • A new four-storey building within the Quad, integrating and linking the Arthur Griffith and Daniel O’Connell Buildings and providing additional teaching, learning and support spaces.
  • A new five-storey Teaching and Learning building, incorporating classrooms, lecture rooms, offices, a gym, exhibition/event space and associated facilities.
  • A new single-storey extension to the existing Bunker building, providing additional design studio and teaching space.
  • Associated landscaping and campus improvements.
     

The College wishes to thank the wider project team, including Reddy Architecture + Urbanism, John Spain Associates and Conservation Architect Gareth O’Callaghan—for their hard work and expertise in reaching this important milestone.

Securing this ten-year permission gives Griffith College an important platform for the future and, most importantly, the flexibility to decide how and when we invest in our campuses as the needs of our learners and College community evolve.
