The Griffith Professional Accountancy Faculty team at Griffith College Cork have praised Danish’s commitment and performance throughout the programme. Commenting on the achievement, ACCA lecturer Ger McCarthy said:
“Danish’s result is truly exceptional and fully deserved. The Advanced Performance Management paper is one of the most demanding at the strategic level, and achieving the second-highest mark in Ireland reflects not only Danish’s technical ability, but also his strategic thinking, professionalism, and consistent work ethic throughout the programme. He is a credit to himself and to Griffith College Cork, and we are incredibly proud of his achievement.”
Reflecting on his experience, Danish credited the College’s supportive learning environment and expert teaching for helping him achieve this milestone:
“Studying at Griffith College Cork has been an incredibly positive experience. The lecturers are highly experienced and genuinely invested in students’ success, and the ACCA-focused support made a huge difference in my preparation. The structured approach to learning, combined with practical insights and exam guidance, gave me the confidence to perform at my best.
Getting second place in Ireland for APM is truly an honour, and I surely would not have been able to achieve this without the guidance of my lecturer, Ger McCarthy, and the resources provided by Griffith College. I am also grateful to Helen Long for helping not only me but also other Malaysian students adjust to life at Griffith College. I want to thank my parents and friends as well, as they have played a big role in helping and supporting me reach this achievement.”
Danish Irfan is one of many prize-winning students to emerge under the academic leadership of Ger McCarthy in Advanced Performance Management (APM). Ger’s exceptional track record also includes multiple prize winners across the Performance Management (PM) module, reflecting consistent excellence in teaching and student outcomes. Danish’s achievement further underscores the strength and depth of Griffith College Cork’s ACCA provision.
