On September 17th, Griffith College Limerick welcomed new students as part of its 2025 induction day. Following extensive refurbishment work over the summer, the campus was warm and inviting, making it a great place to host a new cohort of learners.

As part of the day, journalist Richard Lynch from I Love Limerick interviewed staff members and captured the occasion on film. Through questioning, Richard found that Griffith College has been providing private higher education options to students in Ireland for over 50 years. The College is now celebrating almost 15 years at its Limerick city campus.

Deputy Head of Griffith College Limerick, Kate Harrold, said that the campus has set out a distinctive role for itself in Limerick as a bespoke higher education provider, saying that Griffith College Limerick is “changing all the time to meet the needs of industry”.

Griffith College has been in Ireland for over 50 years. Diarmuid Hegarty, the President of Griffith College, founded it in 1974 and also established campuses in Dublin and Cork.

Kate explained that the College is driven by the ethos of its founder as a friendly, welcoming, collaborative, and socially responsible place committed to community and the environment, where staff are approachable, kind, and compassionate towards students. Everyone is valued and supported.
