Griffith College Mourns the Passing of Anne Simpson
Griffith College is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our friend and colleague Anne Simpson. Anne was a Speech & Drama teacher and examiner with The Leinster School of Music and Drama and was the longest serving Speech & Drama teacher, having joined the LSMD back in the early 80’s - a badge of honour that she was always very proud to hold.
During this time, Anne radiated passion for drama, teaching and theatre. She loved to bring out this love of the Arts with her enthusiasm, passion and encouragement in the classroom, as she helped students nurture this passion for speech & drama, with her usual zest for life and the arts, but especially in her love of teaching.
Anne taught many hundreds of students from kindergarten grade right through to Associate, Licentiate and Higher Diploma in Arts in Drama Education with the LSMD, and she examined many more students over the years too.
Anne will always be remembered for her enthusiasm and love of everything that she did in life, especially her love of family and friends. Anne will always have a special place in the heart of the LSMD family.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
