Griffith College Welcomes New Students at Griffith Fest 2025

Student volunteers welcoming incoming students at Induction

Griffith College Dublin's 2025 Induction days for incoming full-time students recently took place on 17th and 18th September 2025. As part of the events, which are now known as 'Griffith Fest', students were addressed by Griffith College founder and president, Diarmuid Hegarty, greeted the majority of students in their own languages and highlighted the benefits of familiarising yourself with a few words in your international classmates' native languages to help break the ice and build relationships.

Shortly after, students were introduced to the likes of the Griffith College Careers Service, Learning Support Service, Counselling Service, Student Activities Team, and Student's Union, and learned how each of these can guide and support them throughout their journey at Griffith College.

Students were then divided into groups for faculty meetings, where they had the chance to meet lecturers and faculty members for the first time and receive guidance on some of the more administrative tasks involved in settling into life at a new College.

It was then time for the fun to begin! Our new students were treated to an action-packed series of activities, including face painting, a circus show, access to a chill-out room, free food and treats, a series of outdoor games across campus, and a photo booth.

We hope everyone had a fantastic first day and look forward to seeing our new students develop and grow during their time at Griffith College!
