Lexie's Story: Griffith College Stand Behind “Make A Wish” Foundation

Lexie's Story

Griffith College Stand Behind “Make A Wish” Foundation New Campaign

Starting today, Monday 25th March, Make-A-Wish will launch the #IFICANYOUCAN awareness campaign. The campaign features a short film introducing a little girl from Cork, named Lexie. Lexie is not an actor, but a child who is battling a life-threatening medical condition. The film depicts the impact of what a wish means to a child and demonstrates how easy it can be for anyone to fundraise.

The Make A Wish Goal

Susan O’Dwyer, CEO of Make-A-Wish explains, “Our goal is to increase the reach of Make-A-Wish nationwide. We hear of so many families that do not know we exist or heard about us by accident, and this has to stop. When you listen to a mother stating “when my child was born she had the most amazing sparkly eyes, leukemia and chemo took them away, but Make-A-Wish brought them back”, you cannot help but understand the importance of what we mean to families.”

Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children aged between 3 and 17 years, living with life-threatening medical conditions, providing respite from their normal routines of hospitals, doctors and treatment, and in doing so, enrich their lives with hope, strength, and joy.
