We are delighted to announce that two Griffith College students have made the shortlist for the 2017 Next Generation Student Short Documentary Competition!

Cayla Williams' film The Sugarist is a documentary exploring body hair removal, social pressure and the complexities of feminism, while Karen Byrne's work Journey documents the stories of 12 women as they travel from Ireland to the UK to access safe, medical abortions.

Both films will be screening on Sunday, August 6 @ 11am as part of the Guth Gafa Documentary film festival.
