This module helps learners to develop a critical understanding of the overall project context, including the dynamics of people, teams, and the organisation. It equips learners with advanced skills, tools, and techniques necessary for managing projects within engineering organisations
This module aims to impart a comprehensive understanding of quality management principles within the context of sustainable business, management and engineering yet not exhaustive to these business areas. It emphasises how sustainability-conscious organisations can adopt quality management practices to enhance both product and process excellence while minimising waste. By aligning quality management with the broader environmental and social sustainability objectives, learners gain insights into how these practices contribute to achieving sustainability goals.
This module explores the frameworks, legislations, strategies, and practices essential for effective sustainability management. It explores the strategic evolution and implementation of sustainability practices in business management, examining how organisations can integrate environmental and social considerations into their operations. Learners will gain a comprehensive understanding of fundamental sustainability concepts, relevant legislation, and frameworks, with particular emphasis on the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and materiality assessment methodologies.
Facilitated by industry collaboration, learners will develop a clear understanding of the importance of the value of organisational purpose statements and defined values as mechanisms to drive cultural change, especially for organisations pivoting towards sustainability.
It explores the concepts, theories, and practices related to change, focusing on their implementation and application to real-life situations relevant to learners both now and in their future careers.
This module will explore full spectrum sustainability that involves, a holistic approach, with multiple elements to achieve comprehensive and lasting environmental, social and economic well-being. A key component is ensuring activities are within ‘planetary boundaries’ to prevent irreversible environmental damage, respecting of human rights in business operations, evaluating the effects on communities, and applying systems thinking to solve complex sustainability issues.
The objective of this module is to enable managers in sustainably committed companies-based sectors to understand the fundamental link and importance of finance to sustainability practices as sectors and organisations transition to a circular economy.
