Principles of Management and Leadership

This unit will study leadership and management theories and principles, leadership styles and motivating and managing performance.​

Strategic Business Management and Planning

This unit will study the role of strategic planning and management in an organisation and how internal and external environmental factors can influence the planning process. The unit will also consider strategies to aid the organisation to achieve competitive advantage.

Strategic Decision Making

This unit will study the role of information in strategic decision making and how information systems can support business activity.

Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability

This unit gives learners an understanding of corporate social responsibility and sustainability and the impact on organisations. This unit also provides an introduction to the concept of business ethics and the conduct of the organisation. 

Corporate Communications

This unit will examine corporate communication strategies and its relationship with corporate objectives and corporate reputation.

Successful Business Team Development

This unit will examine the characteristics of what makes a successful business team and how to use these characteristics to develop successful business teams.

Understand How to Manage Work Activities to Improve Business Performance

The aim of this unit is to provide learners with the understanding and skills to manage their activities in the business workplace to improve their effectiveness and efficiency.

This part time evening course will run from 6:30 – 9:45 two evenings per week over 22 weeks.

How to Apply

Entry Requirements

Under 23 Years

Two Honours Level, Grade C3s or above and four Ordinary Level D3s in your Leaving Certificate (subjects to include Maths and a language) or equivalent exam taken.

Mature Student

If you are 23 years or over from the 1st January of this year, you can apply for this course directly using the College’s online application form.

A registration fee of Euro 250.00 is applicable each academic year in addition to the fees quoted below.

2% Learner Protection Charge

All QQI accredited programmes of education and training of 3 months or longer duration are covered by arrangements under section 65 (4) of the Qualifications and Quality Assurance (Education and Training) Act 2012 whereby, in the event of the provider ceasing to provide the programme for any reason, enrolled learners may transfer to a similar programme at another provider, or, in the event that this is not practicable, the fees most recently paid will be refunded.

Academic Progression
