BA Film & TV Production Welcomes High Profile Guests for Lectures

Griffith College’s BA in Film & TV Production class welcomed a number of industry known guest lecturers this past week including independent filmmaker Paul Webster, working writer Mary Kate O’Flanagan and writer, director and producer Rioghnach Ni Ghrioghair.

Insider's Knowledge

While speaking with the class, Webster discussed his own career and the acclaimed docudrama “The Vasectomy Doctor”. Other notable works undertaken by Webster includes Fair City and FNI Wrapchat.

Our students were also lucky to have Rioghnach Ni Ghrioghair visit Pierce Ryan’s class for a 1-to-1 lecture. Rioghnach has produced films such as Break Us, Neon and Touch Me.

The Film & TV Production students benefited from this first-hand knowledge that was handed to them in an intimate setting from professional to learner.

Film & TV Excursions

Paired with this, the students visited The Irish Film Institute (IFI)Collections Library in Dublin’s city centre. While touring the centre, Collections Manager Leanne Ledwidge introduced the students to the library content and discussed the background of the IFI collections.
