CPA to sponsor team prize in Business Consulting and Analysis module

CPA and Griffith College

The Graduate Business School are delighted to announce CPA’s sponsorship of the best overall team prize in our esteemed Business Consulting and Analysis module.

Business Consultancy & Analysis

The Business Consultancy & Analysis module is a showcase module in the MSc in Accounting and Finance Management. It requires students to research and present a solution to a real-life client currently facing strategic issues in business. It compels students to fully utilise all of the learnings they have acquired throughout their course along with drawing on the depth of knowledge available in the lecturing staff.

This module was introduced directly as a result of employers indicating there is a need for greater business acumen and the ability to interact with clients among finance specialists. The Graduate Business School achieves this through extensive industry collaboration to provide their students with real-life clients.

Each year, a client is chosen with a “problem” and students are separated into teams to research, develop and present a solution to their real-life client. The prize is awarded to the team who develop the best strategy for the client and deliver the most professional presentation, with their client’s needs in mind. The winning team is chosen by the client and presented a prize.

This year’s sponsor of the prize is CPA Ireland. CPA Ireland is one of the main Irish accountancy bodies with 5,000 members and students. The CPA designation is the most commonly used designation worldwide for professional accountants and the Institute’s qualification enjoys wide international recognition.
