Griffith College Awarded with Gold Cycle-Friendly Employer Certification

Griffith College has been awarded an EU-certified Gold Standard Cycle Friendly Employer Certification (CFE) from Cycling Solutions Ireland.

Griffith is the first private college in Ireland to receive the award. It places us alongside public universities DCU and UCD as the first three higher education institutes in Ireland to achieve this status.

Here is what Cycling Solutions Ireland said of the award:

“We are delighted to award Griffith College with Gold Cycle-Friendly Employer certification. Griffith College is the first HE institution in Ireland to achieve EU-standard cycle-friendly certification and also join the Brompton Bike pilot scheme, which highlights the team’s commitment to active travel and the employee experience. This is a huge achievement which contributes directly towards the college’s sustainability strategy. Congratulations to John and the team.”

The award isn't the end of our endeavours. Griffith will continue to invest in facilities to support and promote commuting by bike to campus in the coming years, and active transport will form a key part of the S.C.R. campus redevelopment plan.
