Griffith College Dublin Proudly Sponsors SMEDIAs 2024
Griffith College Dublin is thrilled to announce that we are one of the sponsors for the SMEDIAs 2024, taking place on 10th April.
The National Student Media Awards is an annual programme to celebrate and acknowledge the brilliance and effort involved within the world of student media throughout the year. It is a chance to celebrate the achievements of Ireland’s newest media minds.
Speaking about the sponsorship, Robbie Smyth, Head of Griffith’s Media Faculty said, "The Journalism and Media Communications Faculty at Griffith College are pleased to continue our SMEDIAs sponsorship. The graduate student journalists of today will shape tomorrow’s world, and we are glad to play a role in recognising exceptional journalistic achievement."
Griffith College students have had the opportunity to submit their work in over 31 categories. Last year, Aoife O’Mara, Graduate of the BA (Hons) in Communications and Media Production won Student of the Year for Journalism Relating to Science and Technology at the SMEDIAs. Aoife was one of seven Griffith students nominated for awards in 2023.
