Griffith student shortlisted for IDI Graduate Awards

Skateboarding - Twenty Eight

Fashion Design Graduate Lena Jordan was recognised for unique and exceptional work.

A huge congratulations to Lena Jordan, Griffith Fashion Design graduate, who made the shortlist for the IDI Graduate Awards 2021 in the Fashion Design Category.

Lena’s Skateboard lifestyle collection is called TWENTY EIGHT M2, inspired by the minimal house movement, reducing your daily living footprint on the planet to a minimum through multifunctional design details. Her transformational garments provide warmth and shelter merged into products designed for alternative functional use. A dress transforms into a tent, a jacket into a mattress, a hood into a pillow are some features of the collection. She has raised fashion to a new design standard and received orders for her innovative design designs before the collection was launched.

We are so proud of Lena's achievements, to reach the shortlist in the IDI Graduate Design Awards 2021 in a hotly contested nationwide design competition that features the very best of Irish Design Graduates' work is a great achievement.

There will be an online ceremony on November 9th at 7pm to announce the final prize winners and we wish Lena the very best of luck.
