Interior Architecture Graduate Shortlisted for an IDI Graduate Award 2023

design award

Our recent BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture Graduate, Oluwademilade Sulaiman, was shortlisted at the IDI Graduate Awards 2023 in the Interior Design / Interior Architecture – Commercial/Residential category.

Oluwademilade’s project is a self-development community centre that answers to the social responsibility of its area, using the existing Seda College, located at 68-72 Capel Street, Dublin 1. This building will be converted into the proposed community centre and this community centre’s objective is to essentially be a place where people can develop themselves both mentally and physically.

As Oluwademilade notes ‘the idea is about embracing and creating a space that is unrecognizable to your ‘norm’.

IDI Graduate Awards are committed to advancing the impact and value of design – and inspiring the next generation of designers at the beginning of their creative careers.

Congratulations to Oluwademilade Sulaiman on this great achievement!

Deirdre Doherty, Head of the Design Faculty, will also be a judge for this year's Special Awards category. The ceremony will take place in the RDS on Thursday, November 16th.
