Marking Milestones: Law Faculty Celebrates 30th Anniversary and 15 Years of the Irish Innocence Project

Law Celebrates 30th

The special event was a wonderful way to celebrate the achievements of both the Law Faculty and the Irish Innocence Project and to recognise their ongoing impact in legal education and justice.  The gathering brought together a proud community of students, lecturers, alumni and friends.

Throughout three decades, the Law Faculty has constantly evolved, embracing new priorities such as human rights, digital law, and access to justice, shaping legal minds, policy, and practice across Ireland.

Law Jane and Marcus

The Irish Innocence Project unites Griffith College Lecturers, Students and practising lawyers in groundbreaking work to investigate cases of potential wrongful conviction, drawing national and international attention to the urgent need for legal reform.

We were delighted to mark the occasion alongside students, staff, alumni and esteemed guests, proud to reflect on the legacy- past, present, and future- of both the faculty and the Irish Innocence Project.

Looking forward, the Law faculty aims to deepen its research into emerging areas and expand its partnerships with legal organisations at home and abroad, affirming its commitment to advancing legal education, research and justice.

Congratulations to all who have contributed to their success!
