Griffith College Journalism and Media Communications students acknowledged at the prestigious awards ceremony.

Griffith College students won the 'Small Publication of the Year' award for their magazine, 'Footprint'. The magazine was nominated in no less than three categories, a fantastic achievement.

The photography students turned out en masse to support their fellow colleagues, six of whom were nominated in all three photo categories.

Second-year student Sebastian Farron-Mahon took home the prestigious title of 'Photographer of the Year' for work which has already been recognised externally in the Halftone print fair exhibition, where he sold some copies of the work.

Deputy Head of Faculty Robbie Smyth reiterated how proud the entire Griffith community was of the students, adding "The faculty is also proud to have our first-ever nomination for Journalist of the Year in the National Media. Rose Ugoalah, a final year BA in Journalism and Visual Media student, was nominated in this category."

Congratulations to all the nominees and winners!
