Griffith College Interior Architecture Students Support Deansrath Family Centre
Our BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture students are once again working with Deansrath Family Centre, combining practical design experience with a project that supports the local community.
Building on the collaboration, this year’s students will apply their design skills to the Deansrath project while also helping to raise funds for the Centre’s new facility in St. Cuthbert’s Park, Clondalkin.
A Live Project with a Community Focus
Deansrath Family Centre has supported children and families in the local community for more than 20 years, providing a range of family support services.
The planned new facility will bring services currently operating across multiple locations together in one purpose-built space.
As part of their studies, Griffith’s Interior Architecture students will engage with the project as a live design brief, considering how thoughtful interior design can respond to the practical needs of the Centre, its staff and the families who use its services.
Students Supporting the Deansrath Fundraising Campaign
This year, students are taking their involvement a step further by supporting the fundraising effort behind the new Centre.
The wider fundraising campaign aims to support the development of the new family centre and ensure Deansrath Family Centre can continue providing important services to the local community.
Those who would like to support the project can donate through the Building Deansrath Together fundraising page:

Learning Through Real-World Design
Projects like this form an important part of studying at Griffith, giving students experience of working with real briefs, stakeholders and spaces while considering the wider impact that good design can have.
The 2026 project continues the relationship established between Griffith College and Deansrath Family Centre, allowing another group of students to use their developing skills in support of a meaningful community initiative.
We look forward to following the students’ work as the project develops throughout the year!
