Griffith Creative Show Launch: Spotlight on Photography, Computing and Digital Media

Griffith College campus became a hub of creativity and curiosity as the Photography, Computing Science & Digital Media exhibitions officially launched on Wednesday, 5th June. The event marked the final significant milestone in Griffith Creative 2025.
Across the various exhibition spaces, visitors were immersed in a showcase of thought-provoking photography and cutting-edge digital projects.
Our final-year students from Computing Science and Digital Media presented interactive and multimedia projects that demonstrated both technical expertise and creative thinking.
Attendees explored everything from video game design and IoT to motion graphics and immersive installations. One standout project invited guests to put on a VR headset and take a virtual tour of the Griffith College campus, as it once was a military barracks. Blending historical research with immersive technology, the project brought the site’s layered past to life in vivid, three-dimensional detail.
The Photography students transformed the Auditorium into a striking gallery space, presenting bold, personal, and visually compelling work. From documentary-style series to highly conceptual pieces, the exhibition reflected a wide range of themes and artistic voices.
There was a clear sense of intention in how each project was displayed, drawing guests in not just with technique, but with storytelling and perspective.
For the students involved, this night was more than a presentation; it was a celebration of the hours of research, trial and error, collaboration, and breakthrough moments that shaped their final projects. It also allowed them to share their accomplishments with friends, family, faculty, and potential future collaborators.
The event, part of Griffith Creative 2025, reinforced the incredible breadth of creative talent across disciplines at Griffith College.
