Unprompted, explores how design can remain human in a time increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence. The project investigates the growing tension between efficiency and creativity, questioning what is lost when design becomes overly automated. Through research into craft, process, imperfection, and participation, the project aims to highlight the value of human decision-making, effort, and emotional connection within creative practice.

The outcome combines interactive and physical experiences that encourage curiosity, experimentation, and active engagement with the design process. Inspired by historical moments where craft re-emerged in response to technological change, the project positions imperfection and unpredictability as meaningful creative tools rather than flaws. Unprompted invites audiences to slow down, question their relationship with AI-driven creation, and reconnect with design as a reflective and human-centred activity.

Minimal logo design for Unprompted combining structured and expressive typography. The word “PROMPT” appears in a clean, tall sans-serif typeface in dark navy blue, while a continuous hand-drawn blue line flows through and around the letters to form the “Un” prefix and the ending “ed.” The contrast between the rigid geometric typography and the loose handwritten line creates a visual tension between control and spontaneity, reflecting the project’s themes of human creativity, imperfection, and experimentati
