Interior Architecture and Design
The BA in Interior Architecture and Design (Level 7) focuses on shaping and transforming interior spaces through creative and technical design thinking, from initial concept to detailed resolution. Students on this programme at Griffith College Dublin develop industry-ready skills in spatial planning, material and lighting specification, sustainable and universal design strategies, and professional visual and verbal communication.
The BA Interior Architecture and Design projects follow professional project stages and processes. Recent briefs have included the adaptive reuse of a former bank as a boutique hotel and the transformation of an existing brewery into a multidisciplinary collaborative workspace, with a strong emphasis on user well-being, inclusive access for all, and environmental sustainability. These projects are showcased as part of the Creative Show and demonstrate the breadth and ambition of final-year study. Each project reflects months of research, concept and sketch development, planning, problem-solving, and detailed design resolution, demonstrating creative interior design proposals.
