This project proposes a shared multidisciplinary workspace for 20 artists, makers, designers, and audiovisual practitioners, exploring the translation of industrial efficiency principles into a creative production environment. Rather than treating the existing industrial shell as a neutral container, the project positions it as an active driver of design decisions, shaping spatial organisation, material expression, and modes of operation. A central glazed atrium acts as a regulator for natural light, circulation and the buildings internal environment whilst creating a strong social anchor. The expressed timber structure and industrial material references help to make it function as a ‘Machine for Creation’.
