Saron Aron Gebreyesus

For this project, I explored the adaptive reuse of an existing warehouse space, transforming Units 2 and 3 into a functional office environment for designers working alongside Hope Beer. The aim was to create a workspace that balances collaboration and focused individual work while responding to the industrial character of the building. My design concept is centered on biophilic and human-centered design principles, creating an environment that prioritizes well-being, comfort, and productivity. By integrating natural materials, soft earthy tones, and organic textures, the space fosters a calming and inspiring atmosphere. A strong connection to nature is introduced through planting, natural light, and spatial flow, helping to reduce stress and improve creativity. The adaptive reuse approach also promotes sustainability by preserving the existing structure while giving it a new purpose, creating a contemporary workplace that supports both the users and the surrounding brewery environment.
