The Little BIG Book of Grief is a small-format publication that explores the vast, disorienting experience of loss. Created after the death of both my parents in 2022, it uses scale and sequencing to express how grief can feel both contained and overwhelming. At its core is bold, highly expressive typography – distorted, fragmented and at times chaotic, visually echoing the unpredictability of emotion. Words stretch, collide and fall apart across pages, contrasting the quieter moments of stillness and space. Despite its modest size, the book carries an emotional intensity that extends far beyond its physical form. It transforms personal grief into a tactile, visual language, inviting readers to connect with the complexity, confusion and weight of loss.
