Griffith College Dublin Welcomes New Students at Spring Induction
Griffith College Dublin's Spring 2026 Induction day for incoming full-time students recently took place on 19th September 2026. As part of the event, which is now known as 'Griffith Fest', students were addressed by Griffith College founder and president, Diarmuid Hegarty, who greeted students in their own languages and highlighted the benefits of familiarising yourself with a few words in your international classmates' languages to help break the ice and build relationships.
Shortly after, students listened to presentations from the Griffith College Careers Service, Learning Support Service, Counselling Service, Student Activities Team, and Students' Union Team, and learned how each can guide and support them throughout their journey at Griffith College.
Students were then divided into groups for faculty meetings, where they had the chance to meet their lecturers and faculty staff for the first time and receive more detailed guidance on the administrative tasks involved in settling into life at Griffith College.
Afterwards, the fun began! Our new students enjoyed an exciting range of activities, including face painting, a circus show, access to a chill-out room, free food and treats, a variety of arcade and sports games across campus, and a photo booth.
We hope everyone had a fantastic first day and look forward to seeing our new students learn, develop, and thrive during their time at Griffith College. For further tips on how to settle in to life at Griffith College Dublin, read our blog piece - Settling in to Life at Griffith College Dublin.
