Students from the Graphic Communication Design programme at Griffith College Dublin recently had the opportunity to hear from a leading voice in Ireland’s creative industry. We were delighted to welcome Colin Farmer, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Unthink Agency, a Dublin-based branding and digital agency, to speak with our students on campus.

Guest Lecture from a Leading Dublin Design Agency

During the session, Colin shared insights into the realities of working in the creative industry, discussing how agencies approach branding, digital design, and client collaboration. Drawing on his experience running a multidisciplinary design studio, he spoke about the evolving role of designers and the importance of creativity, adaptability, and strong communication skills in today’s fast-paced design environment.

Real-World Design Experience for Students

For students, the lecture offered a valuable real-world perspective on how the skills they are developing in the classroom translate directly into professional practice. Hearing first-hand about industry workflows, client relationships, and creative problem-solving provided inspiration and practical insight as they prepare for careers in the design sector.
