Induction 2018

New Griffith College students attend induction in Dublin

A new academic year is upon us, which means it’s time for induction for our new full-time students! Induction 2018 for our Dublin campus will be held on Thursday and Friday, the 13th and 14th of September.

Do I have to attend both days?

No, in fact you really shouldn’t. Whether you attend induction on Thursday or Friday depends on your faculty – see below for a list of which faculties are on each day.

What happens at induction?

Induction is an opportunity for you to get to know and hear from key people in Griffith College. When you arrive, you’ll head to the Auditorium, located in the Conference Centre, for Registration. At 11:00, you’ll split up into a group with your faculty to learn more about the people you’ll work with during your time at Griffith College. You’ll eat lunch (provided by us) with your faculty as well, giving you a further chance to get to know your fellow students.

After lunch, everyone will join back up in the Auditorium to hear from the President of the College and the Student Union. When that’s done, you’ll probably be a little tired of sitting, so why not join in the treasure hunt we’ve got planned?

How do I find my faculty?

To make things as simple as possible, each faculty will be colour-coded. When you get to the auditorium, you’ll see plenty of signage indicating which colour you’re looking for, and if you run into any trouble, staff will be there to help you out. You’ll also be given a sheet with the schedule and some instructions, so you don’t have to worry about forgetting a thing!

Not in Dublin?

Induction at our Limerick campus will be held on Thursday the 13th, at 12:00 pm for full-time students and 6:30 pm for part-time students.
